Jim Jacobs: 6 Hamburgers, Fries and a Coke for $1 Buck!
When I was about 12 or 13 years old, which would have been about 1959 or 1960, my mother would give me a few bucks and send me off with a friend or two to Wrigley field to watch a Cubs game (and if she was lucky, it would be a double header, thereby extending the benefits of cheap baby sitting for the day). We rode our bikes so there was no bus fare. I'd use $1 or $2 to get into the park (which must have been a special price on account of my age, but maybe because we always got the cheapest seats since all we really wanted was to shag foul balls so we were rarely sitting still anyway, and $1 for lunch at Henry's which was just outside the park, where I'd get 6 hamburgers, fries and a Coke. I remember a whole white paper bag full of hot delicious food, which we somehow got into the park though we probably weren't supposed to. Sometimes the Cubs won, sometimes not. No matter to us. It was good times on a hot summer day with friends and Henry's burgers. Every once in a while, when we were lucky, we'd come home with a new baseball.

Steven Francis: Kansas City Kansas
In 1967 my parents opened up a brand new Henry's Hamburgers Drive-In Restaurant. My mother, father, myself and my two sisters operated and managed the restaurant until 1971. In addition, our family also operated and managed another Henry's Hamburgers restaurant in Overland Park Kansas.
